True to the Xetma Vollenweider company philosophy, we are not only a machine supplier but at all times "the better partner" for our customers. The goal of our activities is a long-term, successful collaboration.

 

Two companies which together have over 300 years of experience in dry textile surface finishing – Gematex Textilveredlungsmaschinen GmbH of Germany and Samuel Vollenweider AG of Switzerland – have united under the brand Xetma Vollenweider.

With German quality and Swiss precision we are conquering markets worldwide. And with German-Swiss know-how we guarantee the highest quality of all our machines – right up to the smallest component. Manufacture takes place entirely in Germany.

Our own development department and modern production at the Aue site guarantee a quality to meet the highest demands. Our quality management system – certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 – provides for the continuous monitoring and optimization of all processes.

The increased mechanization of weaving mills benefits reed dent manufacturing, steady growth in customer base

Appearance of the first reed brushing machine, laying of the cornerstone for future machine production

 

 

 

1920s

After a massive sales slump during the First World War reed dent production reached its high point, distribution throughout the entire world

 

 

1920-23

Extension of the product range: automatic harness brushing machine, "Rotorex" reed cleaning machine and reed binding machine

 

   

 

1927

Specialization in the development and manufacture of shearing machines and thereby the leading role in the field of shearing: construction of the "Super Duplo" cloth cleaning and shearing machine and the "Optima"  shearing machine

 

 

 

1938

Abandonment of reed dent production

 

 

Mid 20th century

Further innovations: cloth brushing machine, chain stitch sewing machine, blanket brushing machine, selvedge trailer shearing machine
